The Nigerian
Chess Club
Founded by Ken Green, the Nigerian Chess Club (NCC) is a new Non Governmental Organization (NGO) in Nigeria with the primary goal of building a chess community of Nigerian players that can compete globally and take up spots in the ranking of the top 100 chess players in the world. The NCC will primarily be an online club with periodic in-person events across the country.
Through active promotion of chess events, advocacy, provision of training and funding resources, we want to produce more active chess players and eventually more international titled Nigerian chess players. Our overriding objective is to make chess more accessible to Nigerian chess lovers; provide international exposure to our best chess players; get more and more Nigerians playing chess and to play a major role in getting more Nigerian chess players to be titled players - GM, IM, WGM etc.

You are the backbone
The backbone of the Nigerian Chess Club (NCC) is our membership. Without you, we have nothing to offer. While the membership is open to everyone, we will introduce a paid membership model at a later date so we can provide more support for those that really want to take their chess journey to a different level. In addition, the paid membership will help provide some of the funding to support our programs for the community at large.
- Do you want to improve your chess?
